Arturo has been working hard, learning to express his preferences, emotions, etc., more precisely. In the process, his language has begun to take off, and he's also doing a good job of refining his facial expressions and learning to move between them in rapid fire succession. The three photos below represent approximately 5 seconds, during which Turo the Toddler went from curious about the camera to pleased at having his picture taken to totally dismayed that his request to paw the camera was denied.

On our way to Alaska, we made a stop in New York, where we met up with my parents and also visited with my aunt Mercedes.

An abbreviated look at the cabin where we spent the summer (our outhouse, neighbor's horse)

Pedro, loving Alaska

A flight-seeing trip to Fort Yukon - on a VERY SMALL plane.
A look out the window; close-up of a fish wheel; Michał pretending not to be scared

What about those notorious Alaskan mosquitoes? Well, they're sometimes a problem. Here's poor Turo, confined to playing his guitar behind a net one evening while camping at the Clearwater River.

A few of Arturo's lucky napping arrangements this summer: outside in Denali Park; back-to-back with Pedro; snuggled with Emeline

Here's a rare family shot, taken by Briana at the Monderosa, a great bar/grill in Nenana, AK.
