The Jublewsky Home: Lubartow
Our incredible friends/hosts: Michał (L) and family (L-R), Bogusia, Kamil, Jerzy and Tomek

Turo looking downcast after learning the hard way not to put his little fingers in a baby pony's mouth; a visit with one of the ponies in her sleeping quarters

(You might notice there are only a couple of pictures of Paul between this post and last. Because of his unexpected trip to the U.S. for Wes's funeral, he was only able to join us for one of our nine days in Poland.)
Arturo with Bogusia and Bunya (the pup, Turo's constant Lubartow companion!); A & B; the little guy on a tour of the Jublewsky Aviary, including a close-up look at one of its occupants

Michał always seems to have a camera in his pocket. Almost all of the photos in this and the previous post are his (thank you, Michał!): Arturo and me; Arturo, me and a friendly ladybug

The Palace in Kozłówka (near Lubartow), including sculptures at the Gallery of the Art of Socialist Realism (and a sweet kitty)

Michał's 27th Birthday
Michał, running the kitchen; Arturo and friends (L-R) Kamil, Sylwia, Michał, Rafał and Agnes; the party table, surrounded by Michał's wonderful friends and family and covered with an unbelievable diversity and volume of delicious food!

Rafał and Arturo; Turo getting a double hug from Elżbieta (Michał's Godmother) and Bogusia (Michał's mother); Michał and his parents

The Jublewsky Country Home: Zwierzyniec
I wish I would have taken more pictures from our visit to idyllic Zwierzniec and the surrounding countryside. Below are photos of each of the three houses on the Jublewsky property: the main house currently in use, which is huge and beautiful (and not very well pictured here); the old house, no longer in regular use but so charming to look at with all of its traditional detail and adornments; Sylwia and Anges in front of the newest addition (still under construction), an amazing log cabin

On a woodsy walk near Zwierzniec: Arturo with his mouse, Bernard, anxious to be released from his stroller; Agnes, Turo and Sylwia, playing in the leaves; Tomek

Arturo and me, strolling and practicing our Nordic Walking

Turo, appreciating Michał giving him a new perspective on the world; happy to be in the care of Anges; lounging (and teething) on Tomek

A common sight in Poland: Arturo looking a little afraid mama might take away the sweets he has charmed out of our generous hosts :-)

KRAKOW
Wawel Castle (from our hotel room window!) ; Tomek, Arturo and Michał; Old Krakow

Arturo and the Wawel Dragon; renovated Old Town; Tomek, Michał and Michał in the market square, Rynek Główny

Turo was a good sport during our social and cultural outings in Krakow, but I'm pretty sure spending time in the dirt was the real highlight of this beautiful city for him.
