Red Lodge, MT

My good friend from high school (and middle school), Nathan, and his sweet family live in Red Lodge, Montana, a great little town very near Yellowstone, the Beartooth Mountains, etc. We dropped by to see them last year on our drive from New York to Alaska and had so much fun we couldn't fathom another summer without a trip to Red Lodge.

[Note: In all of these pictures, Gable and Finnigan are decked out in cool neck and face tatoos. Thought I'd mention it, since I initially mistook their body art for body trauma.]

Gable, Sally, Nathan and Finnigan

Paul brought the kids some gifts from his recent trip to Moscow. A bag of dried squid for Finnigan and a Russian comic book for Gable. If you can believe it, 8-year-old Finnigan enthusiastically (and without provocation from his parents) sucked down the squid. Very impressive. Also noteworthy, 5-year-old Gable listened attentively to Paul's broken-Russian reading of the comic book, though neither of them understood the text.

Finnigan and Gable loved Arturo and tended to him non-stop during our visit.
