One thing impacting the frequency of our emails, blogs and calls, is we're living in a simple cabin (it has electricity but no running water and no other connectivity), and we don't have a home phone line, a cellular signal or internet at all from home. Of course, we're in "town" regularly, so please don't stop sending email or calling, but I thought a little explanation might help some of you understand why we're (even) slower than usual these days in terms of our communications.
So, what about our summer? Well, it has been a very busy one so far, but we've definitely found time for a lot of fun, and we have plenty more on the agenda before it's over!
Here are a few pictures to get things started. Many of these were taken very recently, when Arny (my brother) and his family were here for 10 days visiting us from Los Angeles. We had an amazing time traveling around the state with them and only wish they could have stayed longer.
A trip down to Homer, Alaska and some other beautiful spots on the Kenai Peninsula. Check out fisherman Cameron's halibut! We later cooked up some of his many fish over an open fire at our camp on the beach. Divine!

It's great that Arturo will be able to look back at this one day and see all the awesome places he got to visit while growing up. I want to figure out a way to see you soon, one way or another.
