Following Defender of the Fatherland Day in Russia is International Women's Day. Both are national holidays. We didn't do much for either but we didn't mind the fireworks and all the flowers appearing in arms. It was also nice to have some extra family time during daylight hours, since (as with many businesses) our schools and offices were closed. Above is a picture of Sonja and Arturo, headed to the playground where Arturo likes to fly face-first down the slide and into the snow.
